Beer Runner Beers: Glacial Trail IPA
By Tim Cigelske • Jan 1st, 2009 • Category: Beer Runner Beers
After writing about Track Town Ales, I decided to start the new year off with a new Beer Runner topic.
Welcome to the Beer Runner Beers category.
These are beers who have an active lifestyle component built right into the beer itself. Or at least into the name and label.
The first official Beer Runner Beer is Glacial Trail IPA made by Central waters Brewing Company in Amherst, Wisconsin. It’s named for the trail that cuts diagonally across the state, marking the edge where glaciers stopped, melted, and left beautifully sculpted hillsides and lakes.
Perfect for hiking. Perfect for a post-hike beer.
According to the label:
Named after the historic trail that runs through our neck of the woods, this American IPA is full of flavor. A beautiful deep golden beer, it’s heavily hopped for a tastebud adventure. So grab your rucksack and your pint and come visit our side of glaciation at www.centralwaters.com.
Have another Beer Runner Beer to add to the list? Leave a comment. And may your New Year be filled with many Beer Runner beers.
